Job Description: Safety Systems Analyst

Summary

Baxter is seeking a Safety Systems Analyst to join the Global Patient Safety (GPS) – Technology & Systems Support team. This role is crucial for managing pharmacovigilance safety systems, ensuring accurate data collection, analysis, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and support pharmacovigilance safety systems (ARGUS) and other GPS databases.
  • Work flexible hours/shifts to support global teams across different time zones.
  • Collaborate with IT teams and vendors to implement system changes, including updates to reporting rules, codelists, and libraries.
  • Review and analyze user requirements before submission and implementation.
  • Ensure compliance with change control processes for database updates.
  • Manage SharePoint sites for tracking system requests (routine changes & change requests).
  • Identify and escalate potential safety/compliance issues.
  • Serve as a backup for data analysis and report generation when needed.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Life Sciences, or related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in Pharmacovigilance Systems Management, Data Management, or related fields.
  • Strong knowledge of Pharmacovigilance databases (ARGUS, ARISg) and their architecture.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint), SQL, and database management.
  • Understanding of pharmacovigilance terminology, ICH guidelines, FDA & EU regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently under deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
