Job Description: Lab Normal Range Coordinator

Key Responsibilities

As a Lab Normal Range Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in managing laboratory reference ranges within the Electronic Data Capture (EDC) system. Your responsibilities will include:

✔ Reviewing and approving new lab parameters, units, and textbook ranges.
✔ Serving as a subject matter expert (SME) for laboratory data.
✔ Reviewing local and central laboratory reference range documents.
✔ Creating lab IDs and entering ranges/units into the EDC system.
✔ Identifying and resolving discrepancies in lab reference ranges.
✔ Communicating risks and issues related to lab data management.
✔ Participating in cross-functional working groups to enhance data accuracy.
✔ Promoting best practices in clinical data management.

Qualifications & Skills Required

Basic Qualifications

  • Master’s degree + 1-3 years of experience in life sciences, computer science, or related fields OR
  • Bachelor’s degree + 3-5 years of relevant experience OR
  • Diploma + 7-9 years of experience in a related discipline.
  • 2-4 years of experience in clinical data management or lab coordination.

Must-Have Skills

✅ Strong knowledge of laboratory data & clinical reference ranges.
✅ Understanding of Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
✅ Familiarity with clinical data management processes.
✅ Knowledge of International Laboratory Unit Standards (SI Units).
✅ Ability to work with conversion factors and comparable results.

Good-to-Have Skills

✔ Experience with Electronic Data Capture (EDC) systems.
✔ Knowledge of Electronic Health Records (EHR/EMR).
✔ Understanding of laboratory certification & equipment calibration.

Soft Skills
